Why this update

Staff now meet AI incidents — AI-generated nude images, companion apps, disclosures made to chatbots — without a clear response route. Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026 (in force 1 September 2026) names these risks within the 4Cs of online safety. This update gives every member of staff the same calm route: recognise, respond, record, refer.

“This is a specialist safeguarding awareness and update session. It does not replace statutory safeguarding responsibilities, school procedures or appropriate DSL refresher training.” It is an independent AISG resource and is not accredited or endorsed by the DfE, NSPCC, Childline or the IWF.
